Father-in-Law Apartment Inspiration 

There is this barn on our property that has a weird little wood shed/carport area. It is serving zero purpose, so I’d love to turn it into an apartment for my dad to live in! Below you will find the layout and some inspiration pictures for the space, as well as the scary before. 

 

This is the inspiration for the kitchen area. I’m going for color in the BEST way. Orange cabinets are going to rock my world. The bunkbed is only representative of the cabinet color–I’m not putting beds in the kitchen. The pictures with the blue kitchen are kind of a rough layout for the kitchen.

And a built-in banquette. No picture to illustrate it, but it’s the area in the mood board with the amazing green wallpaper (like this one from Spoonflower). Picture an upholstered bench and a couple of chairs. And a gorgeous light like this one from Sazerac Stitches.  And some gorgeous furniture from Joybird (did you know they have rugs? I’m in LOVE with this orange one!).
